Heavenly Father,
With grateful hearts, we acknowledge Your sovereignty over all the earth. We place our trust in Your unfailing love.
For Our Country: We lift up our nation to You. We ask for healing, unity, and a renewal of faith across our land. May we be a people who seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with You.
"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." — 2 Chronicles 7:14
For Our Freedom to Praise You: Lord, we thank You for the incredible privilege to worship You openly and freely. We pray a shield of protection over this right. May we never take it for granted, but instead use our freedom to boldly declare Your goodness, gather in community, and share Your love with a world in need.
"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." — 2 Corinthians 3:17
For the Wisdom of Our Leaders: We pray earnestly for those in authority over us—our president, lawmakers, judges, and local leaders. Grant them divine wisdom, integrity, and discerning hearts. Guide their decisions so that they may lead with justice and truth, fostering an environment where all people can live peaceful lives.
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness." — 1 Timothy 2:1-2
For Peace on Earth: Finally, Father, we pray for peace in a fractured world. Calm the storms of conflict, comfort those suffering in war-torn lands, and let Your peace, which surpasses all human understanding, guard our hearts and minds. Teach us to be peacemakers in our communities and across the globe.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." — Matthew 5:9
We ask all of this in the name of our savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
