From the Pastor's Desk: Reimagine HOW

CBC friends and family,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The first month of this new year 2023 has come and gone. We focused on Reimagining “HOW” God wants to use you. The month of January was a time for us to reflect on God’s will for our lives and to take a real look at walking in our purpose. As we continue our theme for the remainder of the first quarter, we will be exploring the use of our spiritual gifts and how God blesses us with specific gifts. Our gifts enhance our fellowship one with another and create an atmosphere of unity within the Body of Christ. As you examine this pericope (passage of scripture) from the book of Romans, please take the time to consider your greatest attributes and how God has endowed you with at least one of these gifts. Ask yourself “How can I reimagine my gift to firmly walk in God’s purpose?” Take time to pray for God to reveal to you the capacity in which He would like you to exercise your gift. Reimagine how God wants to use you.

6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. - Romans 12:6-8 NIV
