Calvary Baptist friends and family,
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As we continue to enjoy this beautiful summer along with family and friends, I am reminded of the danger of losing our focus. The summer months are designed for a time of rest and relaxation, but it can be a time of lost focus, diminishing routines, and distractions. I would like to encourage you to take full advantage of family time, vacations, and enjoying the summer sun. But also, be encouraged and encourage others to maintain a healthy prayer life that is grounded in the word of God. Set aside some time each day to read a devotional, scripture, or both to strengthen your connection with Christ and to help you maintain a healthy sense of purpose and perspective. Be reminded that the Bible teaches us that we should praise God in and out of season, when times are good and when times are bad. Be inspired to do the same as you continue to enjoy this time of renewal. If you have found yourself in a moment of challenge, remember that God’s love is everywhere, just take the time to be quiet and allow him to show you his love and mercy.
